You don’t have to do much more than read the article, decide on the light effect (ambience) you want, and then go shopping. There are a few additional features that are not discussed so if you don’t know much about light globes, then you will also need to work out the type of fitting that your light globe should have (bayonet, Edison screw or something else, depending on the type of socket your light fitting has); the size of the globe which depends on the type of shade covering your light fitting; and, of course, the amount of energy it uses. As for keeping energy use low, go for a LED, which I have written about before.
